Education:
(a) Workshops/ Lectures/Discussions/Film. Based around the development and evolution of the steelband and Carnivals in the Americas, these engagements and overviews are highly interesting and informative as they demonstrate where cultural and creative expressions based on these criteria have been instrumental as a model for social change throught the immediate region and wherever these innovations have occured. . These are mainly suitable for secondary school pupils and adults.

Discussions on the origins of the Rastafari movement, and its position in Caribbean music and culture. Rastafari drumming is one of the most captivating and exotic percussive styles in the Caribbean, and we at TROPICAL HEATWAVE MUSIC are able to bring their music and songs to you.
Live Music with Trinidadian Calypsonians, Jamaican Folk singers, Jing Ping music from Dominica, plus Indo-Caribbean music from Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana ( see and hear the rich variey of cultural styles in the Caribbean)
Steelbands
We are proud to be able to offer some of the finest steelpanists in the UK and beyond, some of our Caribbean artistes visit every summer bringing with them the newest calypsos and reggae songs from the region. Our roster of UK based bands is not huge. Why? Its simply because we're choosy about who works with and represents TROPICAL HEATWAVE MUSIC, but we can boast of their professionalism and the cool vibes which they bring to any event.
Limbo Dancers
Our male and female limbo dancers offer a highly artistic and entertaining show. Some are directly from the Caribbean and Africa, while we have a fine line up of young British trained young women who bring their laughs, jokes and sassiness to their shows. All our dancers wear highly flambuoyant and colourful costumes...
Drums
We have Cuban, Ghanian, Nigerian, Senegalese, Gambian, Trinidadian, Indo Caribbean drummers (tassa/dholak etc) and dancers for your delectation......Wonderful stuff.
STEELDRUMS FOR SALE: We have for sale exceptionally high quality steeldrums made in Trinidad and Tobago. We have supplied schools, prisons, community centres and individuals who have been hugely satisfied with the quality and prices for our imported instruments.
We also have qualified and experienced steeldrum teachers and steeldrum tuners.
